Day 1. Changsha/Zhangjiajie City (Breakfast, Dinner)

After breakfast, we go to visit the 32-meter-tall statue of Chairman Mao in the Orange Island Park (golf car is included), which is lying on Xiang Jiang River in Changsha. The length of this islet form north to south is about 5 kilometers and the width is about 100 meters. It looks a colorized ribbon with a unique charming appearance. We then continue to drive to Zhangjaijie. Then we go to visit Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. It’s near to Zhangjiajie Nation Park and has dense forests and countless waterfalls. After that, we drive to Yellow Dragon Cave, which is one of the foremost scenic areas in Zhangjiajie. Also it has been honored as "magical karst cave both in China and in the world". The tally of natural wonders includes: one natural reservoir, 2 underground rivers, 3 pools, 4 waterfalls, 13 grand halls, 96 passageways and hundreds of thousands of stalagmites, columns and stalactites. The Yellow Dragon Cave is so complex and unfathomable, possessing such a multitude of geological features.

 

 

 

 

Day 2. Zhangjiajie City/Zhangjiajie National Park (Breakfast, Dinner)

Today we spend our full day to explore the Tianmen Mountain. Tianmen Mountain is regarded as the symbol and soul of Zhangjiajie. The Mountain is majestic, precipitous and magnificent. On top of Tianmen Mountain, a primitive secondary forest is well protected, boasting rich plant resources. The local people regard it as a mountain of god and a holly mountain, showing a high status. As it is the highest mountain of several hundred km distance, and due to the natural sightseeing terrace on top of mountain as well as the high status of famous mountain, Tianmen Mountain has always been the challenging target for people to achieve and enjoy. The splendid sceneries on top of mountain, the wonderful environment, fresh air and dense forest make it an ideal place to enjoy the nature and to relax. We will visit the glass sky walking, Tianmen cave and Tianmen temple. In the late afternoon, we drive to Zhangjiajie National Park. Upon arrival, we have a walk at the local Pedestrian Street. Overnight in Zhangjiajie National Park.

 

 

 

 

Day 3. Zhangjiajie National Park (Breakfast, Dinner)

Covering some 480 square kilometers, Zhangjiajie National Park is one of the first ever-established nature reserves in China. With its rich flora and fauna, and unique landscapes made of unique rock formations, wide lakes and running streams, the park offers variety of sites, each with its own special characteristics. The area has been inspiration to generations of Chinese painters, poets and writers, and many Chinese folk stories are being told about the various locations within the park. We will explore sites of the park such as the Tianzi Mountain with cable car, Yuanjiajie scenic area, Bailong Elevator and Ten-mile Gallery tram. Overnight in Zhangjiejia National Park.

 

 

 

 

Day 4. Zhangjiajie National Park (Breakfast, Dinner)

After breakfast, we continue visiting Zhangjiajie National Park, we will visit Yellow Stone village by cable car and we will hike at the Golden Whip stream for about 3 hours. After tat, we go to visit the famous Baofeng Lake. Baofeng Lake and the area immediately surrounding it offer pristinely beautiful natural scenery. Being located high up in the mountains, the lake catches some of the first and purest runoff water from the mountain peaks. Overnight in Zhangjiejia National Park.

 

 

 

 

Day 5. Zhangjiajie National Park/Dehang/Fenghuang (Breakfast, Dinner)

After breakfast, we drive to Dehang village. It is one of the most beautiful village of Miao people in this area, surrounded by mountains and waters. We will walk around the village and talk with local people to experience their life. And we will hike to Tianwen Platform and Dehang Waterfall to explore the village further. After enjoying the Dehang Local Folklore show, we drive to Fenghuang. Named after the mythical Phoenix, also known as ‘the bird of fire’, this old and remarkably preserved town is widely accepted as one of the 2 most beautiful towns in China. With it stilt houses built over the Tuo Jiang River, and the small charming alleys, this town reflects the atmosphere of old China, and the bustling river bed where people still cook, wash and making their food is evidence to the simple way of life that is being preserved here for centuries. Upon arrival, we take a Fenghuang night scenery tour to have a main idea of this beautiful place. Overnight in Fenghuang.

 

 

 

 

Day 6. Fenghuang (Breakfast, Dinner)

Today we spend our full day to explore the beautiful old town, Fenghuang. We shall take a cruise over the Tuo Jiang River, to enjoy the view of traditional architecture along the riverbanks. After visiting Jumping Rocks Bridge, we continue to explore Rainbow Bridge, built during Ming Dynasty Hongwu Emperor's reign and then renovated in 1670. There used to be a storied pavilion on stilts on the bridge housing a dozen shops in it. Leaving East Gate Tower, we continue to the South Great Wall. The South Great Wall is an excellent sample of ancient city fortification, and is amazingly preserved. We walk the wall, and continue to visit the old town, with its history of more than 1300 years. We then proceed to the residence and tomb of ShenCongwen, one of China’s best renowned writers that have greatly influenced modern Chinese literature place to experience the Chinese ethnic culture. After visiting Yang Ancestral Memorial Hall, we have some free time to stroll around the old town by ourselves. Overnight in Fenghuang.

 

 

 

 

 

Day 7. Zhangjiajie National Park/Tongdao (Breakfast, Dinner)

Today  we drive to Tongdao and go to visit the Wanfo Red Earth Mountain, situated in Taipingyan village, is one of the biggest Danxia landforms in China. It is also won the laudatory title of “the Great Green Wall”. Then we continue to visit the authentic local villages, Huangdu Dong Minority villageYutou (Taro) Dong minority village. They are all best-protected minority village in China. After that, we continue visiting Hengling village and unique designed Drum tower. The Drum Tower is the symbol of the Dong minority people. The drum towers provide venues for the whole village to discuss and settle important things, hold important festivals or entertainments.

 

 

 

 

Day 8.  Tongdao/Longsheng (Breakfast, Dinner)

In the morning, we driving to Longsheng. The Dragon Ridgeback Mountain(Longji Rice Terrace) features one of the world’s largest manmade creations. In the endless slopes of the mountain, the local peasants have carved with their bare hands thousands and thousands of terraces to capture water streaming down the mountain and use it for crop cultivation. We climb to the top of the terraces to take in their enormous extent and to enjoy the great view over the beautiful landscape. The region of Longsheng is also known for the diversified minority groups living there and we stop at some of their villages to learn about their traditions and customs. We will hike from the old Zhuang village to 7 stars in Ping’an village.

 

 

 

 

  

Day 9.  Yangshuo (Breakfast, Dinner)

In the morning we embark on a cruise ride along the Li (Crystal) River from Yangshuo to Fuli. Along the way we get a glimpse of life on the river banks. In the small villages, the locals depend totally on the river to sustain their way of life. The river is not only their main mean of transportation but also the source of water for their fields and washing their clothes, and even of drinking water. After visiting the beautiful Fuli Ancient Town, we take our time to climb the 800 steps in a mountain path leading to the top of Moon Hill for an outstanding view over the rocky surroundings. In the afternoon, we go to explore the local villages. In the later afternoon, we have free time exploring the famous West Street. In the evening, we enjoy the unique “Yangshuo Impressions” (regular seat) performance directed by the very same director who was responsible for the Beijing Olympic Games opening ceremony in 2008, when hundreds of actors performed in the world’s largest outdoor theater—with the waters of the Li River serving as their stage.This breathtaking show is not to be missed.

 

 

 

  
 

Day 10.  Yangshuo (Breakfast, Dinner)

Today we have a Tai Chi Class in the morning. Then we take a 2 hours drive to Huangyao Ancient Town. The old town has a history of hundreds of years and is one of the most popular attractions in Guilin.Being reputed as the “dreamland for families”, Huangyao Ancient Town covers an area of 3,600 square meters. The town features by karst landform. The streets of the ancient town are floored with stones. After enjoying the unique view here, we drive back to Yangshuo.

 

 

 

  
 

Day 11. Yangshuo/Guilin (Breakfast, Dinner)

Today we meet our chef early in the morning and join him for a trip to the local market to buy fresh ingredients for our cookery class. During the next few hours, we shall be learning some of the secrets of traditional Chinese cookery, and for lunch we shall enjoy the results of our labors.Then we take a slow bamboo raft ride down the Yulong River, if we are luckyenough, we may get a chance to see the traditional fishing with cormorants.After that, we continue to the Banyan Tree. Located 7.5km south of Yangshuo, Banyan Tree is one of the main scenic attractions of Yangshuo County. It is said that the banyan was planted in the Jin Dynasty and is famous for its age and towering beauty.  LeavingYangshuo, we drive to Guilin.Upon arrival, we have some free time in the Night Market.

 

 

 

 

Day 12.  Guilin (Breakfast, Dinner)

After breakfast in the hotel we go to visit the Daxu Old Town. The two-kilometer-long ancient street is paved with bluestone slabs; with well-preserved old buildings standing alongside.Most buildings feature the styles of the architecture of Ming and Qing dynasties, including black bricks and black tiles. Leaving there, we drive back to Guilin and proceed to Seven Star Park.Seven Star Park is located on the eastern side of the Li River, 1 kilometer from the city center. Deriving its name from a cave called Seven-Star Cave. Seven-Star Park covers an area of 40 hectares. Being the largest comprehensive and most beautiful park in Guilin, it features fantastic hills, rivers, caves and rocks. Located in the center, Seven-Star Hill consists of Putuo Hill with four peaks and Crescent Hill with three peaks. The southern entrance straddles the ancient Floral Bridge. Dragon Retreat Cave near the southern gate houses great numbers of stone tablets.
